This blog is specifically dedicated to newcomers and refugees in Canada
Political conflicts, war, and inequality between men and women can force people to leave everything familiar behind. When displacement is driven by violence, persecution, or systemic discrimination, the sense of safety that defines home is often lost long before the journey ends.
Home is not always a place. For many refugees, it becomes a feeling that has been interrupted. Safety, predictability, and belonging can feel out of reach when life has required constant survival and adjustment. We offer psychotherapy services in English and Farsi.
At Mental Health and Freedom Inc., we believe healing begins with emotional safety. Therapy offers a private and steady space to process trauma, grief, anxiety, and the emotional impact of starting over. Our work is trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and grounded in respect and dignity.
